Volunteers can teach at schools at which children are aged from 6 to 12  years old.  The main activities will include Maths and English. A lot of children speak English but still have to develop their writing skills.

 

De classrooms are quite occupied compared to the schools in Europe. One classroom can, depending on the size, include 40 to 70 children. Especially in the case of 70 children a volunteer will be accompanied and trained, or if preferred placed together with another volunteer.

Children in Tamale are generally interested and eager to learn about different parts of the world.
